초록
The Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has highlighted frontline healthcare workers as a vulnerable population for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), necessitating therapeutic approaches for them. This study developed a virtual reality exposure therapy (VRET) protocol for healthcare workers with pandemic-induced PTSD. The draft protocol was developed through a comprehensive literature review of existing VRET programs and focus group interviews with nurses who worked in COVID-19 wards. Following expert consultation on this draft, the final protocol was completed. The VRET protocol is a 10-session program based on prolonged exposure therapy principles, incorporating both in vivo exposure to trauma-related stimuli and imaginal exposure through virtual reality. This study provides a detailed description of the VRET protocol development process, discussing its significance and limitations.
