중국 체육계의 사회적 표상 : 중국 국민이 인식하는 체육계 이미지

초록

This study analyzes how the Chinese people recognize the world of sports in terms of social representation. To achieve this purpose, a thematic and categorical data analysis was conducted among 4500 Chinese nationality, non-athletes, non-sports workers, aged 20 to 60 to identify the sporting world’s image. The analysis results are as follows: first, in the small category classification, through the single word system with the same meaning, a total of 259 small category words are sorted out. Second, in the middle category classification, the concept of similar words is bound to the middle category. A total of 16 concepts were derived. The category of 'excellence(13.9%)' accounted for the highest proportion, followed by 'vitality(12.7%)', ‘fighting spirit(12.3%)', 'sports events(8.1%)', 'poor performance (7.8%)', 'Sports stars and people(6.9%)', ‘elite sports(6.7%)' and so on. Third, the analysis of the concept of the middle category is summarized into a large category. The results show that positive image(47.1%), symbolic image(30.6%), negative image (20.1%). Combining the above results, it was confirmed that the Chinese people generally perceived the sports world as positive, including symbolic images, rather than negative images. The main reasons for this result are the national pride triggered by the international achievements of elite sports under the background of ’national system‘, the success myth of Chinese women's volleyball team, the symbolism of national spirit and the rethinking of sports values brought by the positive reports of Chinese sports media.
