The Dynamics of Moral Resonance in Everyday Disasters : Traps on the Road and Cracks Beneath the Heart

초록

This paper examines how structural risks in everyday life often fail to be recognized as disasters and are excluded from public ethical attention. the normalization of repeated and minor harm as “tolerable inconvenience” reflects a deeper insensitivity and institutional neglect. Drawing on the Confucian ethics of emotion, particularly Jeong Inbo’s concept of moral resonance(感通). this study explores the ethical conditions under which emotions become socially shared responses to suffering. Gamtong is presented as a form of public sensitivity that transforms individual affect into a socially organized language of responsibility, offering a framework for Confucian political philosophy in the context of disater.
