사용자 경험 분석을 통한 이동형 치과용 CR 스캐너의 디자인 개선방향

Unprecedented societal changes such as population aging and unexpected pandemic diseases draw more attention to healthcare, highlighting the importance of the medical industry and leading to the growth of the medical device industry. As the market's saturation increases, so do the competition. The thriving medical device industry needs to have in common to build reliable products featured with digitalization and enhanced usability for patients' safety and end-user satisfaction. This study aims to create the specific design directions of a digital portable dental CR scanner to improve user experience with these conditions. To identify the difficulties of the device in use, a heuristic evaluation accompanied by observation and interview was conducted with twelve UX designers. To get insights from the test results, non-parametric statistics were applied, and the observation and interview data were referred. When comparing the before-use experience to the after-use one through a Wilcoxon test, it is discovered that the product has higher aesthetic usability than experienced usability. Meanwhile, a Spearman test to figure out the correlation between the product’s overall experience and product components says physical UI, feedback, the tray, and digital UI are significant Based on the findings, a solution focusing on digital UI design was developed. This study would improve the device's user experience and build a user-centered plan for the medical device. Nonetheless, this study has a methodological limit depending on a small number of professionals and unconfirmed solutions that haven’t tested.
