보통포틀랜트시멘트를 사용한 콘크리트의 적산온도 기반 초기 재령 압축강도 예측에 관한 연구

초록
This study analyzed the early-age compressive strength development of OPC concrete under various water-to-cement(W/C) ratios and curing temperatures. To predict compressive strength based on the maturity concept, concrete mixtures with W/C ratios ranging from 35% to 55% were prepared and cured at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C, after which strength histories were established with respect to accumulated maturity. The datum temperature required for the Nurse-Saul maturity function was determined for each mixture, and several prediction models were compared for early-age compressive strength estimation. Experimental results indicated that the highest correlation was obtained when the datum temperature was set to –3°C. Comparative evaluation of strength prediction models revealed that the Plowman and Gompertz equations provided the most reliable predictions within the 5–10MPa early-age range. In particular, in the lower strength interval of 3–6MPa, the Gompertz model exhibited superior accuracy, with prediction errors 0.5–1MPa lower than those of the Plowman model. These results enhance the reliability of the maturity method for early-age concrete in low-temperature environments and are expected to be applicable in practical field construction. This study provides practical insights into predicting early-age performance in cement concrete mixes with different W/C ratios and determining formwork removal times.
