초록
Against the backdrop of global cultural integration and the rapid evolution of fashion, modern jewelry design exhibits a diverse range of trends. However, the application of blue-and-white porcelain patterns remains relatively weak. This study focuses on Chinese blue-and-white porcelain patterns. Based on Saussure’s semiotic theory, it combines documentary research, case analysis, and comparative methods to explore their historical evolution, classification characteristics, and innovative applications in modern jewelry design.By sorting out the aesthetic characteristics of blue-and-white porcelain patterns from the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, and integrating practical cases from brands such as Chow Tai Seng and Lukfook Jewellery, this study analyzes the translation paths of traditional symbols in modern design. The research findings indicate that through the semiotic recombination of “signifier-signified,” blue-and-white porcelain patterns can effectively integrate modern aesthetic needs, promoting a balance between cultural inheritance and design innovation. It is recommended that future designs should strengthen the theoretical support of semiotics, clarify classification standards, and enhance market adaptability through cross-material experiments.
