부모의 미디어 이용 중재가 미디어에 대한 부정적 영향에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 알파 세대의 자기 통제성의 매개효과를 중심으로

With the advent of a multi-media, multi-content environment, the cases of children’s media use are increasing and the age group is decreasing. In this situation, the role of parents as mediators in children’s media use is being emphasized. This study focuses on examining how parental mediation on media affects the negativity of media perceived by children. For this, children’s self-control variables regarding media use were input as variables. First, this study discovered active mediation and restrictive/co-use mediation as parental mediation types through exploratory factor analysis. After that, structural model analysis was performed. As a result of the analysis, active mediation was found to have a negatively significant effect on children’s self-control, and it was confirmed that restrictive/co-use mediation had a positively significant effect on self-control. Self-control was found to have a negatively significant effect on children’s negative perception of media. This study has theoretical implications in terms of redefining the construct concept of intervention types and their effects. In addition, it provides practical implications as a study on the effects of media interventions targeting the alpha generation.
