‘소울’(小郁) 죽 공예품의 디자인 요소에 관한 탐색적 요인분석 연구

Traditional handicraft is a comprehensive system that encompass a range of elements, including form, pattern, technique, material, and culture. To revitalize handicrafts, designers often create new products based on specific elements. However, focusing on particular elements may overlook the cultural and environmental significance of handicrafts, potentially harming their sustainable development. Therefore, it is crucial to comprehensively consider the elements of handicrafts. In this study, we investigated the design elements of "Xiaoyu" bamboo handicrafts through literature review and conducted exploratory factor analysis, resulting in five design factors: functionality, intangible, regional distinctiveness, aesthetic, and material. These factors provide a more holistic perspective on crafts compared to isolated design elements and can serve as a comprehensive and objective reference for future collaborations between designers and craftsmen, as well as for the revitalization of the crafts. Additionally, this study investigated the purchasing status and consumer demands regarding bamboo craft products through a survey to better align new craft products with consumers' needs.
