OTT 오리지널 드라마의 유튜브 콘텐츠를 통한 정서 기반 서사 경험 확장: 넷플릭스 <폭싹 속았수다> 사례를 중심으로

This study analyzes how the narrative of the Netflix original drama <When Life Gives You Tangerines> is reconstructed and expanded into viewers’ emotion-based narrative experiences through official YouTube content. By conducting a text-based analysis of the emotional connections between the main series and Netflix’s official YouTube videos, along with a qualitative examination of user comments, the study identifies a cyclical structure of emotion shaped by the drama’s four-season narrative framework and retrospective narration. The official YouTube content—such as teasers, highlights, behind-the-scenes clips, and promotional videos—repeats, varies, and extends the emotional rhythm of the main text beyond the platform itself. Viewers re-experienced the drama’s emotions through these videos, reinterpreted them within their own memories and life contexts, and shared them with others through emotional resonance and empathy. The findings demonstrate that YouTube content for OTT original dramas functions as an organically connected narrative device that sustains and expands emotional experiences outside the main text, empirically revealing the mechanism of users’ narrative expansion.
