소득불평등, 정치적 불평등 그리고 기회불평등의 누적적 증가에 대하여: 복지제도와 노동조합의 새로운 역할

초록

While experiencing the global financial crisis that started in 2007 2008, we came to recognize that income inequality, political inequality and inequality of opportunity are all rising simultaneously and that these increases are cumulative due to interaction effects between the inequalities. This is not only resulting in an economic crisis, but is also leading to a crisis of democracy. This study analyzes why such multiple inequalities are developing concurrently. First, we verify whether the inequalities are in fact rising together. Second, we analyze the cumulative relationship between these three simultaneously increasing inequalities. Finally, based on this analysis and focusing on welfare systems and trade unions, we examine international differences in income inequality, political inequality and inequality of opportunity.
