초록

Accurate assessment of a building’s U-value is crucial for optimizing energy retrofits. However, conventional methods (e.g., HFM and IRT) impose strict requirements that limit their practicality. This study develops a correction model for U-value calculations by incorporating solar radiation effects using sensitivity analysis and dynamic building energy simulations. Validation using real-world data from an educational building in South Korea show that the proposed model significantly improves accuracy, reducing error rates from 103% to 18% (south-facing walls) and 92% to 23% (north-facing walls). These findings contribute to more reliable thermal performance assessments, enabling large-scale building energy retrofits. © 2025 Building Simulation Conference Proceedings. All rights reserved.
