국민체력100 체력인증센터 유치과정 및 운영실태 분석: A시 사례를 중심으로

The purpose of this study is to analyze the attraction process and management status of a Physical Fitness Certification Center of the National Fitness Award 100 and to derive policy implications for regional physical fitness certification centers’ efficient management. For the purpose, the A City’s Physical Fitness Certification Center was selected as a case study, and a total of five research participants were selected through nomadic sampling. Data were collected through non-participatory observation and in-depth interviews. Specifically, the “attraction process” is examined in the overall its context and major issues from a memoir perspective. The analysis of the “management status” is organized by the two principal themes ‘finance’ and ‘operation’. The policy implications for the efficient management of the local physical fitness certification centers derived through this are as follows. First, this study reveals the necessity of active administration by local government officials to attract the National Fitness Award 100 project to expand the number of physical fitness certification centers. Second, the paper identifies that it is necessary to consider making it paid only for physical strength promotion classes to increase the budget of the project. Third, the paper also identifies that it is necessary to evaluate the utilization of space when evaluating the selection of physical fitness certification centers. Fourth, the research discloses that measurement methods for each physical fitness item should be unified and clearly presented. Fifth, the study proposes that it is necessary to adjust performance (quantitative indicators) to improve the quality of the project.
