Corrigendum to “Inhibition of the mitochondrial permeability transition pore as a promising target for protecting auditory function in cisplatin-induced hearing loss”(Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, (2025), 182, C, (117767), (S0753332224016536), 10.1016/j.biopha.2024.117767)

This Corrigendum relates to the above article. Post-publication, an investigation conducted on behalf of the journal by Elsevier's Research Integrity & Publishing Ethics team identified a concern around the authenticity of the following figures/image panels: -Fig. 4A, panels ‘cisplatin + DBP-iPT’ and ‘DBP-iPT’, appear to depict the same source image but are described as representing different experimental samples. The authors were requested to provide comment on these concerns, as well as the original unprocessed image files to aid investigation, and have clarified that the apparent similarity resulted from an error during figure assembly, in which an incorrect representative image was inadvertently selected for one condition.
