무술 소재 웹툰의 스토리텔링 양상과 2차 콘텐츠 연계성 분석 연구 : ˂싸움독학˃을 중심으로

초록

This study explored the storytelling patterns of martial arts-themed webtoons by analyzing the use of martial arts in the webtoon <Viral Hit> and its connection to secondary content on YouTube. The analysis revealed that <Viral Hit> successfully fostered voluntary fan-created secondary works through the repeated design of the “underdog myth,” the creation of an appealing top-dog character, and the use of martial arts that combined their unique characteristics, compatibility, and imaginative elements. This approach intentionally portrayed the coexistence of “verifiable realism” and “challengeable fiction,” while also enhancing cross-platform connectivity to expand the space for audience engagement. This study distinguishes itself from previous research by revealing the specific linkage between the webtoon’s internal design and user participation and interaction on external platforms.
