토픽모델링을 활용한 한국스포츠심리학회지 연구 동향 분석: 최근 20년(2004-2023) 기간을 중심으로

Purpose: This study analyzed the research trends in the Korean Journal of Sport Psychology (KJSP) using topic modeling based on the LDA algorithm. Specifically, (a) the major topics and keywords published in KJSP over the past 20 years were explored, and (b) the topic distribution over the year intervals was analyzed. Methods: The analysis covered a total of 801 articles published in KJSP from Volume 15, Issue 1 in 2004 to Volume 34, Issue 1 in 2023. The titles of these articles were collected through web crawling and prepared for analysis through preprocessing. The collected data were classified into four topics based on Coherence Score, and the top 5 keywords for each topic were extracted. Furthermore, the 20 years were divided into four intervals (1st interval: 2004-2009; 2nd interval: 2010-2014; 3rd interval: 2015-2019; 4th interval: 2020-2023) to calculate the topic distribution. To verify the correlation between the year interval and topic distribution, a correlation analysis using Spearman’s rho was conducted. Results: First, the topics of articles published in KJSP over the past 20 years were identified as ‘scale development,’ ‘sports and exercise psychology,’ ‘psychological skills training,’ and ‘motor learning and control.’ Second, the four topics showed varying distributions over the year intervals. However, the correlation analysis between year intervals and topic distribution was statistically significant only for Topic 3, ‘psychological skills training.’ Conclusion: This study analyzed the research conducted over the past 20 years published in KJSP, examining the topics covered and how the research themes have changed over time. The results of the analysis are expected to provide ideas for subsequent research and contribute to the creation of new paradigms.
