모바일 환경 진화에 따른 휴먼 인터페이스 만족도 평가 연구

초록

Recently, users are experiencing user interactions applied to various products in virtue of rapid technology development of multimedia devices. This means the advancement in various interfaces suggests more various experiences to users. But the question is whether this advancement in interface technology brought the advancement in its usability. The final purpose of this study is to provide a suggestion to improve the usability rather than focus only on the functionality in the domestic mobile industry, through illustrating the proven result whether the advancement in technology brought the advancement in usability. In this study, the advancement of the mobile elements was investigated through literature researches, academic journals and online DB, and, based on this, the elements of human interface were extracted. The elements of user interface were largely divided into GUI and interaction, and an assessment of usability was conducted focusing on interaction element which is influenced by Physical User Interface device. As the methodology for the assessment of usability, three methods were reviewed and Jacob Nisen`s user assessment method was used among them, which is the most popular method in mobile UI. And the assessment of human interface was conducted in subjective evaluation because it was an element to give an influence on the emotional satisfaction level. The experimental result of this study did not show that the advancement in the sector of Physical User Interface does not necessarily mean the advancement in the usability. In other words, mobile industry is developing very rapidly but its usability is deemed to be rather insufficient yet when compared with the advancement of the interface technology. In case of Korean industry, the reality is that only big companies are investing on the usability research but overall investment for the usability research is insufficient. For the development of domestic mobile industry, the investment on the usability research, based on this experimental result, should be made more along with the advancement of interface technology.
