초록
This paper uncovers unprecedented historical evidence concerning the identities and experiences of 11 Chosun castaways who drifted onto the shores of Kerama Island of the Ryukyu Kingdom in 1733. Through a detailed examination of the treatment they received in the Ryukyu Kingdom at that time, this paper also broaches the possibility of their intentional drift from China to Chosun, the passage they might have undertaken, and their viable route thereafter.
