우리나라 국제영화제 방문객의 특성 비교 연구

초록

The present study comparatively analyzed the visitor profiles at the six major international film festivals (International Women s Film Festival in Seoul, Jeonju International Film Festival, Seoul International Youth Film Festival, Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival, Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, and Busan International Film Festival) held in Korea. The surveys of visitors at six film festivals were administered, and a total of 1,581 questionnaires were analyzed. To investigate the differences of demographic characteristics, film consumption characteristics, and festival consumption characteristics of the visitors among the six film festivals, cross-tab analysis was performed. The Chi-Square(χ²) test revealed the substantial differences of visitor profiles among the six film festivals. On the basis of the findings of the analysis, managerial implications for film festival planners and marketers were discussed, and suggestions for further studies were provided.
