인지적 범위에서 바라보는 한국어 ‘오다’와 일본어 ‘くる’의 대조연구

A Contrastive Study on the Cognitive Scope of Korean ‘Oda’ and Japanese ‘Kuru’

초록

In this paper, the cognitive abilities of the Koreans and Japanese regarding the commonalities and differences between the Korean verb “Oda” and the Japanese verb “Kuru” the in these verbs possessed by have been presented. First, the common meaning of the Japanese “Kuru” and the Korean “Oda” was analyzed by scanning 1000 example sentences from the Korean-Japanese dictionaries, portal dictionaries, and corpus, and the correspondence between the two verbs was suggested. The common semantic categories found are “(abstract subjects such as seasons and times) early,” “(some phenomenon occurs in the body) arise,” “reach (to the standard),” “own share 'become,” “(feeling, phenomenon) convey,” “(signal) arrives, come early, arrive.” On the other hand, the semantic categories in which the Korean “Oda” does not appear in correspondence with the Japanese “Kuru” are early (specific point of view), (abstract) come/visit, arise/occur, enter/enter/enter/resign, gathered, incline, (as an auxiliary verb) as in progress were presented. In addition, four semantic categories in which the Japanese “Kuru” does not appear in response to the Korean “Oda” are presented: start, result (become/become), come out of/become from, and come down. It is expected that the current study would be helpful to better understand the homogeneity of the two languages by understanding how Korean and Japanese native speakers perceive the verbs “Oda” and “Kuru” respectively.
