Hawking radiation as tunneling of massive sphereical shells

초록

Hawking radiation can conveniently be viewed as quantum mechanical tunneling of spherical shells. Usually the shells are assumed to follow null geodesics. Here we consider semi-classical tunneling of massive spherical shells to investigate the possibility of any further deviations from the thermality of Hawking radiation.
