A cylindrical vector vortex beam was generated from a diode-pumped Nd:YVO4 laser. The laser was operated in continuous-wave and Q-switched modes by inserting an S-waveplate and an etalon inside the Nd:YVO4 resonator. © 2024 The Authors.
