구성주의 학습이론에 기반한 디자인교육 방안 연구

초록

The purpose of this study was to examine an effective method of design education in line with the paradigm shift of education. To achieve this goal, constructivist learning theory that was regarded as an alternative educational method were reviewed. First, knowledge is positively constructed through interaction between individuals and environments. Second, learning is considered that learners should construct knowledge actively and environmental design of learner-centered. Third, in terms of design education, the characteristics of constructivist learning environments are as follows: circulatory problem-solving process, learner-centered and context-oriented assignments, cooperative learning and integrative approach. Based on the results of these analyses, an educational program and a detailed lesson plan were suggested. The theme of the constructivist design education program proposed by this study was an eco-system, and the program is to change a traditional game of Yoot into a board game in consideration of its origin. This program is expected to produce the following effects: First, the playful characteristics of the program will enable learners to explore and solve the given problem in a positive way, which will serve, in turn, to boost their self-directed learning capability and learning attitude. Second, the integrative approach that incorporated the traditional play of Yoot and modern eco-system will make it possible for them to foster their problem-solving skills and creative, critical thinking faculty. Third, they will be able to communicate with one another naturally in the course of making something in collaboration. Thus, the educational program was finally suggested in this study. In the future, this study is expected to provide some information on the method of design education and the design of educational programs.
