중국 전통 모란문양을 활용한 전통과 현대 장신구 비교 분석

초록

Peony is native to China and has a cultivation history of more than a thousand years, and has since spread all over the world. The peony pattern was a decorative pattern that appeared relatively early among traditional Chinese patterns and was widely used in various fields. In particular, there is a case where the peony pattern was widely used in ancient jewelry design. With the rapid development of the Chinese economy, consumers’ demands for products are also changing. Now, consumers are highly interested in not only the functionality and convenience of the product, but also the appearance and unique design. In jewelry design, there is a stronger demand for original design that can express itself as well as materials and crafts. Flower patterns are one of the most important topics in modern jewelry design. By studying the development and change of traditional plant patterns, we can understand the differences in the situations and ways in which people wear jewelry from time to time. This helps to bring new ideas to modern jewelry design. This study was conducted through the literature organization method. Previous studies were analyzed in terms of characteristics, composition, pattern combination method, and symbolic meaning of traditional peony patterns through organization and analysis. In addition, case analysis was conducted using the works held in the museum as an example. Finally, as a result of analyzing the cases in which the peony pattern is applied to modern jewelry design, it can be summarized into the following three characteristics. First, the composition and symbolic meaning of the peony pattern are more flexible in modern jewelry design. Second, the colors, materials, and craft techniques of the peony pattern have been diversified in modern jewelry design. Third, the hierarchy of use has changed, and modern jewelry is designed to be worn more conveniently in everyday life
